Cleaning day

Here we are almost a month later...and NO posts!!  Yeah, I wondered if I would stay on top of this...but I have TRIED lots of Pinterest "things"...and the first thing I am going to talk about ---

BATHROOM CLEANER -- Today is a cleaning day for me.  I started babysitting and I get so much more done when I have those two boys than I do when I just have my two kids (for some reason, I am REALLY productive on the days that I have those two little guys!)!


I made a homemade cleaner that I found on a website...and it was a simple recipe:

1/2 Dawn dishsoap
1/2 vinegar

I used a spray bottle and put 12 oz of Dawn and 12 oz of vinegar...and off I went!!

I am finding that it isn't the most fantastic smell in the world, but neither are any of the other cleaners I use that I buy!  I think that it does a decent job for what it is, but the problem that I have with it (yes, I have a small issue!)...

It only really cleans the areas you spray and let "sit".  I walked away after spraying my bathtub.  I wish I did a "before" picture, but I would also be slightly embarrassed to show everyone what my bathtub really looked like!  But, after going back after about 10 minutes, the scum in the bathtub was gone...well, almost.  All of the areas that I actually sprayed was great -- nice and shiny!!  I also noticed that it makes LOTS of bubbles!!!  I had a hard time rinsing out the bath and my rag.  It just kept making more bubbles!

So, I guess my overall opinion would be something like this:

I would keep using this, but rethink the mixture.  I think doing it again, I would use less soap and see what happens.  Overall, it did a great job, I would just make sure to spray ALL areas!! 

Summer fun...??!!

This was supposed to be a fun, busy summer with my two kids...turns out, I don't have job (at the present) to return to in the "Fall" when school starts and it really has been a busy summer so far.  I signed up for two online college courses and those two classes have kept me so crazy busy, that I feel like time is flying by!  I decided to try and find a way to make some extra cash...so I found a small babysitting job that will keep me on my toes two days a week -- adding 3 year old twins to my day is a little nuts, but at least it is something that gives us a little extra each week!

Throughout the few weeks that I have had "off", I opened this blog and it has been blank ever since...I tried once before to do a blog, and without a job, thought I would have time to do something!  Haha...it is a nice thought -- it just hasn't happened yet!

But, the purpose of my blog is to do what I like to do...spend time with my family, scrapbook, and "pin" things!  So, I decided that this blog would be to "try" projects on Pinterest that I have found interesting, too good to be true, or just down right sounds awesome!!

So...let the fun begin -- and I hope that I can log back on to blog at least once a week (I would love to do 2-3 projects, recipes, and who-knows-what else a week...but not sure that will happen!).
